Is your website easy to find on Google?
SEO (search engine optimization) is making your website easy for Google to read, understand and list. Enter your address and see how yours does.
Free SEO checker
Enter your website. We read it the way a search engine does and score it out of 9.
What it checks
- A page title of 10 to 60 characters that says what you are and where
- A search description of 50 to 160 characters
- One main heading, with smaller headings in order
- The page language and phone-friendly settings
- Alt text and a size on every image
- A link preview for WhatsApp and Instagram (Open Graph)
- No instruction hiding the page from search
- A sitemap.xml that lists the page
- Real text on the page, 100 words or more, readable without JavaScript
What it cannot tell you
It does not know where you rank, how many sites compete with you, or who links to you. Those need Google's own tools. It checks the page basics that every ranking starts from.
What we do about it
- Every website we build at Sites is made with these checks in mind, written from the same details as the page.
- Already have a site? The checker shows what it lacks. If you want it fixed, write to us.
Questions
What is SEO?
SEO is search engine optimization: making your website easy for Google and other search engines to read, so it can be listed for the right searches.
Is the checker free?
Yes. Enter your website address and it reads the page the way a search engine does. We do not store the address or the page.
Will fixing these put me first on Google?
No one can promise that. These are the basics that every ranking starts from. Where you land depends on your competition, your Google listing and how people use your site.
Does a Sites website pass these checks?
We build every site with them in mind, and check the basics (one main heading, title, description, image sizes) before a site goes out. Details we do not have, like your opening hours or your customers' questions, we ask you for instead of making them up.
How is SEO different from AEO and GEO?
SEO gets your page listed in search results. AEO gets short answers from your page quoted in answer boxes and by voice assistants. GEO gets your business named in answers that AI assistants write. They share the same foundations.
